    Our venison is ethically harvested and free-range, rich in iron and flavour, but lower in fat than beef. A rare opportunity to savour Tasmania’s finest game, right where it’s raised.

    Whether served as a slow cooked shoulder by the fire, a grilled backstrap under the stars, or in one of our lodge-prepared ready meals, it is more than just a meal - it’s a taste of where you are.

    Self-Cater

    Our accommodation options include basic provisions such as oil, salt and pepper, a small selection of herbs and spices, and tea and coffee. We welcome accommodation guests to bring their own food and beverage, and are happy to recommend specialty grocers to visit on the way to Currawong Lakes. Please note that the nearest convenience store is a 30-minute drive from the property.

    Our breakfast hampers are packed with fresh produce and lodge made favourites to help you ease in to the day.

    Choose between our ‘Currawong Classic’ hamper, full of hearty bacon and eggs or our ‘Sweet and Savoury’ pastry hamper with some Tasmanian favourites.

    Our lunch packs are designed for energy, flavour and convenience - wherever the day takes you. Hearty sandwich or wrap, house baked treat, seasonal fruit, trail snack and bottled water

    The Lake House Private Dining

    Guests staying in our Lake House accommodation have the opportunity to indulge in a multi-course degustation dinner, prepared by Chef Chris Lucas from the comfort of your lodging. Curated with your personal tastes and preferences in mind, each bespoke menu highlights seasonal Tasmanian produce. 

    Minimum 2 guests; maximum 12 guests. Children’s menu available.

    Savour the flavours of food cooked over fire. Chef Chris Lucas curates barbeque feasts for every meal of the day, featuring locally farmed meat, seafood and vegetables.

    Dine with family, friends and colleagues on the lakeside in Hillstone Hall. Equipped with a commercial kitchen and accommodating large groups, Chef Chris Lucas’ three-course menus cater to diverse tastes and group requirements.
